Cookie policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that are downloaded onto the user's device when visiting a web page. Among other functions, they make it possible to remember technical browsing information, keep a session logged in, or measure use of the Website.
Indian Flavours uses the Odoo eCommerce platform. Some cookies may be necessary for the shop, the basket, the language or the contact features to work properly. Analytics cookies, non-essential preference cookies or advertising cookies will only be used if the user accepts them through the settings panel, unless the law allows otherwise.
2. Who uses the cookies
- First-party cookies: sent from the Indian Flavours domain and used for the operation of the online shop.
- Third-party cookies: sent from third-party domains or services, such as Google, when analytics tools or tags are activated through Google Tag Manager.
The definitive list of cookies depends on the Odoo modules installed and the actual configuration of the Website. The table below reflects the cookies detected on the published Website.
3. Types of cookies
| Type | Purpose | Do they require consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Technical or necessary | They allow browsing, keeping the session active, using the basket, remembering essential actions and applying security measures. | No, when strictly necessary to provide the requested service. |
| Preference or personalisation | They remember options such as language, time zone or other non-essential preferences. | Yes, unless they are strictly necessary due to an explicit choice made by the user. |
| Analytics or measurement | They help to understand use of the Website, produce statistics and improve its content and operation. | Yes. |
| Advertising or marketing | They allow advertising to be shown, its frequency to be limited, campaigns to be measured, or advertising profiles to be created. | Yes. They must not be activated unless they have been implemented and expressly accepted. |
4. Cookies foreseeable in Odoo and Google
The following table lists the cookies that may be present with a standard Odoo eCommerce installation and with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) loaded via Google Tag Manager (GTM). The names, provider and duration may change depending on the version, modules and configuration. Cookies marked as «conditional» are only installed if the corresponding service is active.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Approximate duration | Basis / status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| `session_id` | Indian Flavours / Odoo | Keep the user's session, the basket and browsing security. | Technical | Session or up to approximately 3 months, depending on Odoo's configuration | Necessary |
| `frontend_lang` | Indian Flavours / Odoo | Remember the language selected on the public part of the Website. | Preferences | Approximately 1 year | Consent if not strictly necessary; necessary if it results from an explicit choice made by the user. |
| `im_livechat_history` | Indian Flavours / Odoo | Remember the history or interaction status with the live chat, if the module is enabled. | Preferences / functional | Session or depending on the module's configuration | Conditional; consent required when not necessary. |
| `_ga` | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguish users and generate statistics on use of the Website. | Analytics | 2 years | Conditional; requires consent. |
| _ga_3613SS04L3 | Google Analytics 4 | Maintain session status and collect browsing metrics for GA4. | Analytics | 2 years | Conditional; requires consent. |
Important note on Google Tag Manager: Google Tag Manager, by itself, is a tag manager and does not necessarily install cookies. However, it can activate Google Analytics tags, advertising or other providers that do install them.
If advertising tools, social media pixels, maps, embedded videos, third-party chat or other add-ons are enabled, this Policy will be updated beforehand, stating their provider, name, purpose, duration and acceptance or rejection mechanism.
5. Managing consent
When first accessing the Website, a cookie notice or panel will be shown allowing you to:
- Accept all non-essential cookies.
- Reject all non-essential cookies as easily as accepting them.
- Configure cookie categories individually.
- Access the Cookie Policy before deciding.
Necessary technical cookies will remain active because they are essential to provide the Website, the basket, the session or other requested features. Consent for the remaining categories will be free, informed, specific and unambiguous, and silence or mere browsing will not be interpreted as acceptance.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the «Cookie settings» link or button, permanently available on the Website: the cookie banner shown on your first visit and, subsequently, the «Cookie settings» link in the footer. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal.
6. How to delete or block cookies from your browser
In addition to the settings panel, you can allow, block or delete cookies from your browser. Blocking certain cookies may affect the operation of the shop, logging in, the basket or other features.

7. International transfers arising from cookies
When third-party cookies are accepted, their providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In the case of Google, please refer to the provider's privacy and transfer information. Indian Flavours will apply the safeguards provided for in data protection law, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
8. Updates to this Policy
This Policy will be updated whenever the cookies, the services used or the applicable law change. The current version will always be available on the Website together with the date of its last update.
